LT1

The Ming Tombs are a group of mausoleums of 13 Ming Emperors. The underground burial chamber of Ming Emperor Wanli has been open to the public since excavation in 1956. The Great Wall was originally built in 221 B. C. It is said to be the only man-made object visible from the moon. The section of Juyongguan we are going to visit was built in the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty and repaired recently.

The Tian¡¯anmen Square is an enormous square facing the Gate of Heavenly Peace. It is the heart of modern Beijing. The Forbidden City has been the political center of China for nearly 500 years. Today, it remains as the most complete and best-preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. Built in 1888, the Summer Palace was one of the resorts for the Imperial Court. There are palaces, pavilions, terraces and covered walk atrung out along the northern shore of Kunming Lake.

The tour starts in the morning from the Beijing Zoo, where the lovely panda bid us good morning. The next stop is the Lama Temple. The Lama Temple is the center of the learnings for the Yellow hat sect of Tibetan Lamas with considerable religious and political sway. Today there are some 70 Mongolian lamas tending the temple. In the Capital Museum, there are Regular exhibitions such as "Ancient Capital Beijing-History and Culture¡±, ¡°Ancient Capital Beijing-Urban Construction" and "Exhibition of Old Beijing Folk Customs¡±. These exhibitions show the splendid and glorious Beijing culture, which has constantly evolved and gradually formed its glorious development history.

We strongly recommend the Hutong Tour. It is a tour on an old style tricycle around the old city residential areas. It is the place where you can experience the local culture, traditions and the everyday life. The Temple of Heaven was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests, and it has been called the noblest example of religious architecture in China.

Martial arts or Wushu, have been created and developed for self-defense and survival throughout human history. Correct Chinese Wushu training improves physical ability, health, and will power. EVENING PROGRAM (EP)

Beijing Opera has entertained Beijingers for over 200 years with its elaborate costumes, ear-splitting arias, dazzling martial arts and musical dialogues. They are usually based on folk tales, famous novels and fairy tales. The stage has side message board showing subtitles in both English and Chinese.

The Chinese Acrobatic Troupes have traveled to many countries and have amazed audiences everywhere. To watch the Chinese Acrobatic is an extraordinary experience.

The Legend of Kungfu tells a story about a little monk and his path from the naivety to the enlightenment and wisdom through the growing pains and gains during the course of life. The show is composed of impressive Chinese Kungfu, acrobatic and dance performances.

Quanjude a famous Chinese brand of long history, was established in 1864. The characteristics of Quanjude Duck are the crispy skin, tender meat and the fragrance from the fruit-wood.

Foot massage is one of the most unbelievably relaxing treats that you can give yourself or others. The ultimate study of foot massage is reflexology. Foot reflexology is "pressure therapy" and involves applying focused pressure to certain known reflex points located in the foot to cure or prevent disease. Foot reflexology is based on the premise that our nerve zones or reflex points go from the bottom of our foot to the top of our head, encompassing all vital organs on the way. A trained reflexologist can put pressure on different meridians or energy lines on the sole and side of the foot to determine the cause of illness.

The history of dumplings dates back to ancient times. But the custom of making dumplings a special dish during the Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New year, started in the Ming Dynasty, some 500-600 year ago. Dumplings is also called "jiaozi" in Chinese with meat and vegetable fillings, which is very popular at the new year and at other festivals.

Oct. 9

, Morning transfer to Beijing Railway station, take a morning Train to Chengde. Upon arrival, visit the Mountain Resort of Chengde, the world's extant largest imperial garden where emperors of Qing Dynasty. Stay in Chengde overnight at a 3* hotel.

Oct. 11, After breakfast, visit the Puning Temple, it was built in 1755 A. D. Visit Little Potala Palace-to celebreate the 70th birthday of Qianlong in the summer of 1780 the 6th Panchen Lama asked for coming to express his good wishes, built this temple. After lunch, transfer to railway station, back to Beijing. Railway station meeting and transfer to the hotel for conference. The tour ends.

Oct. 11, Visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum, which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations, then to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-perserved building and a holy place for Buddhists. After lunch visit to the Old City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China. Flight back to Beijing in the afternoon. Oct. 7, Transfer to Suzhou, visit to the Humble Administrator's Garden, the largest classical style garden in Suzhou , it is one of the four most famous garden of China . After lunch, visit to the Silk Embroidery Institute, then return to Shanghai, visit Yu Garden, the one of the well-known gardens of classical style south of the Yangtze River .

Oct. 8, Flight to Guilin in the morning, after lunch, visit to the extraordinary underground cavems of the Reed Flute Cave and ascend Fubo Hill for a superb view of this beautiful town. Then visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, which hences its name because the rock hill with a hole in it gives the rock itself the appearance of an elephant sipping water with its trunk. Stay in Guilin overnight at a 3* hotel.

Oct. 9, After breakfast, take a Li River cruise to Yangshuo with lunch on board, visit Yangshuo West Street in the afternoon. Return to Guilin Airport and flight to Xi'an in the evening. Stay in Xi'an overnight at a 3* hotel

Oct. 7, Flight to Jiuzhaigou, Pick-up and transfer to the Huanglong. After lunch, visit to the Huanglong National Park. Huanglong, Yellow Dragon Valley, so-named due to the golden-hues of calcite deposits in the rivers resembling a mythical beast flying down the snowy mountains. Stay in Jiuzhaigou overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 8, Full day visit to the beautiful place which is called "the Fairyland" Jiuzhaigou Valley. In this region are dozens upon dozens of waterfalls and colourful lakes whose waters take on the hues of the leaves above or the minerals on their beds and change from light yellow to dack green, deep blue and jadeite.

Oct. 9, Flight to Chongqing, Pick-up and transfer to Dazu. In Dazu County of eastern Sichuan Province, there are more than 50000 stone sculptures. They are scattered in 40 places. The largest, richest and most exquisite collection of statues is at the foot of Baoding Hill and North Hill. After lunch, enjoy the exquisite stone sculpture at North Hill in Dazu. , Visit to the Drepung Monastery, the largest of the six big shamanist monasteries in China; Sera Monastery, which in the second biggest Gelupa monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa; Norbulingka Museum, formerly the Dalai Lama's Summer Palace.

Oct. 8
, After breakfast, transfer to Zedang; visit to the Samye Monastery, the first monastery in Tibet for monks to dwell in. After lunch, visit to the Changzhu Temple which is believed to be the winter palace of the king and princess Wen Cheng and Yumbu Lakhang Temple, the first palace ever been build in Tibet with more than 2000 years. Oct. 5, In the morning, visit to the Xinjiang Provincial Museum which introduce to people about the customs, ways of life and traditional cultures of 12 minority nationalities in Xinjiang. Then proceed to local Bazzar to see the traditional life in Xinjiang. After lunch, transfer to the Turpan, visit to the Grape Valley, where abounds for its grapes, the most famous being the seedless white, Manazi and rosy species. Oct. 6, Visit to the Gaochang Ancient City, founded in the first century B.C. and abandoned by the end of 13th century. The Bizaklik Thousand-Budha Caves, whose walls are adorned with Buddhist frescoes, and Astana-Karakhoja Ancient Tombs, known as "the underground museum", the Emin Minaret, the finest buildings on the silk road, the House of old Uygur Chief in Turpan and the 2000-year-old Karez Water Channels, a remarkable underground irrigation system. Oct. 7, Morning arrival at Dunhuang, breakfast on train on your own. After lunch, visit to the Dunghuang Mogao Grottoes, popularly known as the ¡°Thousand Buddha Caves ¡±, an art gallery in the desert. Visit to the Singing Sand Mountain and Crescent Moon Lake, set in an amphitheatre of sand dunes. Stay in Dunhuang overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 8, Morning transfer to Jiayuguan Pass , the western end of the Great wall. It was built in 1372 and is made up of an inner city, wengcheng, luocheng and outer city. This strategic outpost was called ¡°Impregnable Pass Under Heaven¡±. Overnight train to Lanzhou .

Oct. 9, Arrival in Lanzhou in the morning and transfer to Xiahe by bus. On the way, visit to the Labrang Monastery, the palace for lama and one of the significant monasteries in Tibetan Buddhism. Stay in Xiahe overnight at a 3* hotel.

Oct. 10, Return to Lanzhou in the morning by bus, visit to the Gansu Provincial Museum. After lunch, visit to the Waterwheel Garden and stroll along the Yellow River.
Stay in Lanzhou overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 11, Flight to Beijing. Pick-up and transfer to the hotel for conference. The tour ends.

Oct. 16
, Morning flight to Kunming, upon arrival, airport meeting and transfer for lunch. Afternoon visit Grand View Pavilion, built in 1690 on the old site of Guanyin Monastery and has been damaged twice by wars, Golden Palace which main hall is bronze. Stay in Kunming overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 17, Full day tour to Stone Forest, which bizarre rock formations are a result of weathering and erosion over the past 300 million years and create an eerie setting. On the way back to Kunming, you will have a chance to visit the local Flower and Bird Market.

Oct. 18, Morning flight to Dali. Enjoy a boat trip on Erhai Lake. Visit the famous Song Dynasty Three Pagodas, dating from the ninth century and Chongsheng Temple. Visit the picturesque old town of Xizhou and enjoy the traditional Three-Course. Tea Ceremony. Then go to Zhoucheng to visit the famous dye works and Dali Ancient Town. Stay in Dali overnight at a 4*hotel.

Oct. 19, After breakfast, transfer to Lijiang. Visit Black Dragon Pool enroute and wandering at the old town of Lijiang, a maze of cobbled streets, rickety wooden buidlings and vibarant markets. Stay in Lijiang overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 20, After breakfast, transfer to the beautiful Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, take the cable car up and down to the Yunshanping. Then visit Yufeng Monastery, a mere 250 years old, but in its grounds is an ancient camellia tree symbolising marital harmony and reputedly bearing 10000 blossoms every year. The nearby Baisha is villagesurrounded by fields and filled with willow trees, enjoy its famous wall paintings. Then proceed to another minority village at Shuhe.

Oct. 21, After breakfast, flight back to Kunming. Upon arrival Kunming airport, tour is end.

PT4 Beijing-Lhasa-Zedang-Chengdu

Oct. 16
, Morning take a flight to Lhasa, upon arrival, airport meeting and transfer to hotel. Spend the rest of the day getting acclimated to the high altitude. Stay in Lhasa overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 17, Today enjoy Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama, which is the essence of Tibetan architecture; Jokhang Monastery, built in the 7th century by King Songtsan Gambo to commemorate Princess Wen Cheng's arrival in Tibet. Then, you will have a chance to visit the local Tibetan life at Barkhon Street.

Oct. 18, Full day excursion to Drepung Monastery, the largest of the six big shamanist monasteries in China; Sera Monastery which in the second biggest Gelupa monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa; Norbulingka Museum, formerly the Dalai Lama's Summer Palace.

Oct. 19, After breakfast, transfer to Zedang. On the way, visit Samye Monastery, the first monastery in Tibet for monks to dwell in. Visit Yumbu Lakhang, the first palace ever been build in Tibet with more than 2000 years. And Changzhu Temple which is believed to be the winter palace of the king and princess Wen Cheng. Stay in Zedang overnight at a 4* standard hotel.

Oct. 20, Morning transfer to Lhasa airport, upon arrival, flight to Chengdu. Arrive Chengdu, meet by the local guide and then visit Qing Yang Palace, the biggest Daoism Temple in South West China. Stay in Chengdu overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 21, Morning visit Giant Panda Research Institute to see the lovely Giant Panda. After lunch, transfer to Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a water project construction of ancient China built over 2200 years ago.

Oct. 16, Morning transfer to Beijing airport, flight to Urumqi. Upon arrival, airport meeting and enjoy a Chinese lunch in local restaurant. Afternoon visit Heavenly Lake, the geological relic of the Quaternary Period Glacier in Urumqi. Stay in Urumqi overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 17, Morning visit Xinjiang Provincial Museum which introduce to people about the customs, ways of life and traditional cultures of 12 minority nationalities in Xinjiang. Then proceed to local Bazzar to see the traditional life in Xinjiang. After lunch, transfer to Turpan. On the way visit Grape Valley, where abounds for its grapes, the most famous being the seedless white, Manazi and rosy species. Evening enjoy traditional Minority Singing and Dancing Show. Stay in Turpan overnight at a 3* hotel.

Oct. 18, Enjoy a full day tour to Gaochang Ancient City, founded in the 1st century B.C. and abandoned by the end of 13th century. Bizaklik Thousand-Budha Caves, whose walls are adorned with Buddhist frescoes, the Astana-Karakhoja Ancient Tombs, known as "the underground museum", the Emin Minaret, the finest buildings on the silk road, the House of old Uygur Chief in Turpan and the and the 2000-year-old Karez Water Channels, a remarkable underground irrigation system. Evening take an overnight train to Dunhuang.

Oct. 19, Morning arrive at Dunhuang, breakfast on train on own arrangement. Visit the Dunghuang most famous site - Mogao Grottoes, popularly known as the "Thousand Buddha Caves", an art gallery in the desert. Visit Singing Sand Moutain and Crescent Moon Lake, set in an amphitheatre of sand dunes. Stay in Dunhuang overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 20, Morning transfer to Jiayuguan Pass, the western end of the Great Wall. It was built in 1372 and is made up of an inner city, wegcheng, luocheng and outer city. This strategic outpost was called "Impregnable Pass Under Heaven". Evening transfer to railway station, take an overnight train to Lanzhou. Overnight on train.

Oct. 21, Arrival in Lanzhou in the morning, transfer to Xiahe- County in Gannan Tibetan Nationality Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. On the way, visit Labrang Monastery, the palace for lama and one of the significant monasteries in Tibetan Buddhism. Stay in Xiahe overnight at a 3* hotel.

Oct. 22, After breakfast, back to Lanzhou. Visit the biggest comprehensive Museum in Gansu-Gansu Provincial Museum and the interesting Waterwheel Garden. Spend the time strolling along the Yellow River. Stay in Lanzhou overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 23, After breakfast, transfer to airport, flight back to Beijing. Upon arrival Beijing, airport meeting and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Stay in Beijing overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 16, Morning transfer to Datong by bus, arrival in Datong in the noon, After lunch visit the Yungang Grottoes with 252 caves and 51000 statues, represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China in the 5th and 6th centuries.Visit the Huayan Monastery, named after the huayan sect of Buddhism, is a complex of the Upper Huayan Monastery and Lower Huayan Monastery. Then visit the Nine Dragon Screen built over 600 years ago, is presently the oldest and largest glazed screen in China today. Stay in Datong overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 17, After breakfast, transfer to Pingyao by bus. On the way visit Hanging Temple-stands at the foot of Mt Hengshan, has survived more than 1400 years, an architectural wonder in chinese history for the temples hanging on the mountain ciff with the exquisite Buddhist statues in the temple. Visit Yingxian Wood Pogoda is also called Budha Palace Mosque Shi Jia Pagoda, which was set up in 2nd year of Da Liao Qingning (1056A.D) Nearly 1000 years age. Arrival in Pingyao in the evening. Stay in Pingyao overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 18, After breakfast visit the Qiao Family Courtyard, it lies in the beautiful and richly endowed Jinzhou basin of Shanxi. It is greatly admired as a very special artistic treasure by both common people and architects. After lunch visit the Beautiful ancient city of Pingyao. The city Wall itself, Streets,buildings and shops are all well preserved from the Ming and Qing Dynastie.

Oct. 19, After breakfast, back to Beijing by bus, then check-in to the hotel. Stay in Beijing overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 17, After breakfast, visit the Puning Temple, it was built in 1755 A.D. Visit Little Potala Palace-to celebrate the 70th birthday of Qianlong in the summer of 1780 the 6th Panchen Lama asked for coming to express his good wishes, built this temple. After lunch, transfer to Railway station, back to Beijing. Upon arrival, railway station meeting and transfer to the hotel. Stay in Beijing overnight at a 4* hotel.

Oct. 18, The tour ends after breakfast.
